  • Rob Chumbook

    CHAIRMAN/DIRECTOR/FOUNDER/CEO Jacksonville & Los Angeles Chapters

    Grew up in a family of educators in Los Angeles CA. Attended Claremont Men’s College and University of Southern California majoring in Economics and Entrepreneurial Science. An entrepreneur who has owned multiple businesses in the Fitness, Financial Services and Consulting Industries in both Los Angeles and the Chicagoland areas. Additionally, has held multiple Senior Executive level positions in the afore mentioned industries.

    A single father who raised a beautiful 27-year-old daughter predominantly on his own. Currently resides in Jacksonville, FL. He attends the Church of 1122 and spends as much of his free time on the water boating and many other Ocean related activities. Is active in the Cancer community being a Stage 4 Metastatic Prostate and Bone Cancer survivor. A Life and Cancer Warrior finishing his first literary work detailing his Cancer journey and recovery.

  • Ellen Sayers

    VICE CHAIRMAN - Jacksonville Chapter

    Belgian born to a financial executive, Ellen spent her childhood living in the Middle East and South Africa and speaks English/French fluently and has traveled to 30 plus countries worldwide. After high school, she moved to London to attend college for five years after which she traveled to Florida. Following college, she married and settled in Gainesville, Florida where she raised her 2 children and started her decades long award-winning sales career. Ellen has established herself as a rock-solid sales agent with a network spanning the country.

    Now, Ellen is ready to embark on the next chapter in her career putting her extensive network and experience to work as your real estate agent through Berkshire Hathaway. Ellen may be a transplant but after living in NE Florida for 20 years she has the heart of a native. Ellen loves the sunshine and when she isn't hard at work you can find her at one of North Florida's beaches hunting for sharks teeth or relaxing on her boat at one of the many local springs.

    Ellen is also an experienced investor in real estate having bought and sold many of her own properties. Ellen is not just a well-traveled, well connected over achiever, she is also an amazing person with a warm and inviting personality who is always wearing a smile. She has an integrity of steel and the resolve to overcome any adversity.

  • TIM & JOYCE WHITE

    Jacksonville Chapter

    Tim is a Contractor and served as a board member for several years at Gateway Community Services. Joyce is a housewife who raised 3 children. She has volunteered in many areas varying from Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital to Hope’s Closet. They have spent many years serving in various capacities in their church. Having the opportunity to work alongside Lone Warrior is a blessing and honor.

  • Stephen DeSorbo

    Jacksonville Chapter

    Steve is a long-time resident of Jacksonville, having lived there since 1973. He established a successful insurance agency in the year 2000, which he later sold in 2018. Despite selling the agency, he continues to enjoy his work in the Employee Benefits field and actively manages the agency.

    In addition to his professional life, Steve is deeply involved in non-profit, charitable and civic activities. He is associated with organizations such as REthreaded and the City Rescue Mission, where he contributes to their causes through volunteer work and financial support. He has also served on the board of various charitable and civic organizations, indicating his commitment to making a positive impact in the community.

    Steve is actively engaged in his church, The Church of Eleven22, where he holds the role of Deacon and participates in multiple church activities and ministries.

    On a personal note, Steve has been in a loving relationship with his spouse, Melanie, for 29 years. Together, they have raised a family and are proud parents of four children and four grandchildren.

    Steve enjoys various hobbies, including golf and scuba diving, which provide him with relaxation and leisure. Most importantly, he values spending quality time with his family, emphasizing the importance of family bonds in his life.

  • Greg Moya

    Jacksonville Chapter

    Greg calls Church of Eleven 22 San Pablo campus and Northeast Florida home. Greg relocated from South Florida July 2020 with his wife Grace and their twin teenage daughters Erica and Sara. Greg has spent his past 25+ year career working for leading global technology organizations. Greg has served in various volunteer roles at Calvary Chapel Miami Beach and Church of Eleven 22 as well as support for various non profit organizations. Serving others in need is a blessed form of worship and grateful to be part of this journey with The Lone Warrior family. 

  • Tony Cowan

    Jacksonville Chapter

    Tony Cowan has guided strategic healthcare development and technology integration for 30 years. He is an executive, project manager, and consultant. His experiences include working with hundreds of physician groups to open Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC)s on-time and on budget. Mr. Cowan specializes in moving medical products to market and innovating new healthcare solutions that reduce suffering and save lives while lowering costs. He provides risk management services while delivering compliance programs that exceed ongoing accreditation standards and audits medical systems to maximize revenue.

    Mr. Cowan designed a patented healthcare technology for the deployment of emergency response platforms. He sold, built, and delivered those platforms after a disaster. These mobile medical platforms with quick-to-deploy capability met the qualifications for FEMA Cat-B funding requirements. After responding to a disaster, these clinical facilities pivoted into accredited medical public health infrastructure. This fulfilled his vision for equivalency of care even after disaster struck.

    In January 2020, he predicted the global pandemic’s impact and founded the Integrated Bioscience and Build Environment Consortium (IBEC). As the Administrative Director, he connects government agencies, leading global professional organizations, laboratories, scientists, and commercial entities. These disparate organizations work together to support rapid innovation. IBEC is now a global force that provides educational materials that help people understand how to return to the built space safely, using the lessons learned about airborne infectious diseases.

  • Steven Highfill

    Steven Highfill

    Jacksonville Chapter

    Steven is a Jacksonville native and cancer conqueror. He has extensive professional business and non-profit experience. He served as a trusted law firm merger consultant for over 30 years, placing him in the unique position to fully understand the pain points of both lawyers and their clients. Drawing on his legal vertical experience, Steven founded LawFi, Inc. LawFi is the inventor of a new loan type called a “Legal Fee Loan” and is building the first-of-its-kind Legal Fee Financing and Payments platform for the financing of legal fees. LawFi will bring more financial inclusion to the legal system to help fill the massive Access to Justice gap.

    Prior to his career in the legal market, Steven assisted and founded the first Jacksonville Chapter of the American Subcontractors Association and served as its Executive Director. Before that, he spent several years working in membership, meeting management, grants, and as a lobbyist for the Associated General Contractors of America. Steven’s first career was as an investment broker. As a regional investment banker, he was responsible for identifying, evaluating, and assisting dynamic companies in industries and markets with high growth potential. He assisted owners, boards of directors, and management teams in the development of offering plans, documentation, and the successful IPO process.

    Steven is passionate about combining cutting-edge technologies and fintech with innovative, smart, and motivated development and operational teams, management, and stakeholder groups to solve problems. In addition to setting the vision and strategy for the development and rollout of LawFi in all 50 states, Steven felt compelled to join Rob and the Lone Warrior Foundation team. His aim is to help build lasting programs to benefit and positively impact the lives of single parents battling cancer in Jacksonville.

  • TOM RICCARD

    Los Angelas Chapter

    Tom Riccard is a native of Los Angeles. He attended Harvard School with Rob Chumbook in the 1970s. He is a graduate of UCLA in economics, with a background in accounting. After graduation he was an auditor for the NASDAQ stock market . He has been the president of Modern Finance Company, a family business started by his grandfather in 1951.

    Tom has been active on many boards, both in his industry as well as charitable boards. He has served as prior president of the California Financial Services Association and is a long time board member. He has served for decades at Bel Air Presbyterian Church and is a deacon.

    He is currently the chairman of the board of Heart of Los Angeles, a non profit organization providing after school programs free of charge to inner city youth. This organization has a $7m budget with 50 employees. They presently serve over 3000 children.

    Tom has been married for 40 years to Dana Riccard, a retired city planner. They have two children who live in the Washington DC area and they have 5 young grandchildren.

    Tom loves to ski, run, hike, ocean kayak. He was a former mentor for the LA Leggers which help runners meet their goal of finishing the LA marathon.

  • Michael Chambers

    BOARD MEMBER - Jacksonville Chapter

    Michael Chambers was born in Chattanooga Tennessee on March 2, 1965. As a child, he lived in Washington DC, Atlanta Georgia, and eventually moved to Jacksonville Florida at the age of four. At the age of 13, his railroading father was once again transferred and moved the family to the Cincinnati area and resided in northern Kentucky. It was then off to Atlanta for three years of high school and back to Jacksonville Florida before his senior year where he graduated from Wolfson High School in 1983. Mike attended college in Gainesville Florida and is still a devote University of Florida Gator fan to this day!

    Mike took a job 1986 with Xtra Corp. in Atlanta Ga and the transfers soon started for him. After stints in Orlando, Jacksonville, St Louis, and Kansas City he left Xtra in 1989 and with his father and one of his younger brothers formed REDON Inc. and moved to Chicago Illinois for the next 20 years. That trailer leasing company was acquired by GE Capital after 10 years in 1999. In 2009 Mike relocated back to Jacksonville Fla.

    Mike has a 31 year old son from his previous marriage that is his pride and joy to this day! Currently, Mike is the owner of A1A Valet and Parking Management LLC in Jacksonville Florida. Mike enjoys his golf, fishing, hunting, travel, and stays active with a wonderful social life. He loves people from all backgrounds and the history their stories bring.

  • Tracey Hensley

    ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT/VOLUNTEER

    Tracey Hensley is a Leukemia Cancer Survivor. She was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in January 2020. Her passion for the health field was evident as she worked as a personal trainer and massage therapist for 15 years. Currently, she picked up massage therapy again after healing from a Bone Marrow Transplant from her sister, Trena, that she received in September 2020.

    Considering herself blessed, she has chosen to support and walk the cancer journey with others to encourage and love them through difficult times. She is committed to serve with other like-minded members of the foundation to give hope and inspiration.
